Office Tenders is a service business that specializes in helping people in trucking with state and Federal DOT paperwork for commercially licensed drivers.
We develop the DOT required company policy, provide a master copy for you, and copies for each one of your drivers.
We provide training materials for your drivers so that they are aware of how the testing program works.
We provide training that meets the DOT specified minimums for supervisor training.
(This is generally a two hour video tape training session - which we provide on a $50 rental basis. Other training options can be tailored to your needs.)
We arrange for a local (to you!) clinic where you can get the test collections performed and provide the required chain of custody forms.
We administer a testing consortium that meets the DOT requirements for random drug and alochol testing.
If you are a small company, we add your driver(s) to our consortium for random selections.
If you employ 8 or more drivers, we can establish your own random selection pool.
(This way you can pretty accurately predict how many tests per year you will need to do, based on the 50% random (drug) and 10% random (alcohol) testing parameters.)
Once per quarter we perform a random selection draw of all active drivers in the company specific pools and our consortium pool.
We mail the selections to your designated company contact.
You generally have 6 weeks or so to get the tests completed.
(What is important to the random program is that the driver is not aware of the impending test until it is time to actually get tested. You control when the driver is notified in the interest of maintaining your company work schedules and commitments.)
If desired, we can make the testing appointments for you.
You will be billed for the local test collection fee by your local clinic.
(This generally runs in the $20 - $30 ballpark.)
Once the test is processed through Medtox Laboratories, we obtain the results and bill you for the $20 laboratory processing and the $10 Medical Review Officer.
Our fee for this random testing program service is $50 per driver per year for small employers.
Our per driver or company administrative fee is negotiable for larger employers.
